Jacob: "No, he just sounds that way because he's singing about how he lost his girlfriend*."
*This song had absolutely NOTHING to do with a girlfriend, but the lead singer, Adam Duritz, has a raspy voice so my kids automatically thought he was depressed.
Isn't it funny what they can get from different types of music?

Counting Crows are so depressing they leave me feeling suicidal. True story.
I love the counting crows! grew up listening to them! I once had a friend ask me why I listen to such depressing guys sing? .... i must say that I love the lyrics of their songs, I don't know what these people are talking about.
